Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are my patients going to be squeezed into an exam room with an uncomfortable bed?
No, all of our rooms are a minimum of 10X11 feet (some bigger) and we use Sealy Posturepedic mattresses for their comfort. All bedrooms are equipped with cable TV, with a choice of a VCR or DVD.
2. Does my patient have to be seen by the Sleep Center's Physician?
No, while Advanced Sleep Fitness Centers work alongside many of the area's local experts on sleep, it is not a pre-condition that they be seen by our physicians.
3. Does your company offer any training sessions, so that I might be better acquainted with interpreting your reports?
Yes, a licensed registered Repiratory Therapist trained and registered in Polysomnography will be available to help you with any questions you may have.
4. Are you in the business of setting up new sleep laboratories?
Yes, we have worked with physician groups and institutions in creating state of the art sleep diagnostic programs.
5. In the past, I have had to wait 3 months to have my patient treated with CPAP. How long will I have to wait with your company?
Advanced Sleep Fitness Center can usually have your patient seen within the same week that the order is received. We turn our studies around in one week, thus your patient could be seen for his or her Titration Report the following week. In two weeks time, both studies could be completed, so you can prescribe therapy for your patient.
6. Can your Lab set my patient up on CPAP or oxygen?
Yes, we can arrange for your patient to be set up within 24-48 hours of your orders.
7. Can somebody stay with me overnight in the lab?
Yes, but only in the case of a child under 18.
Great...How do I begin referring my patients to you?
Referring your patients to an Advanced Sleep Center is easy, straightforward and requires no capital investment.
For fastest service, we would prefer that a practice completes a Physician Enrollment form, which simply gives us name, address and NPI of the referring physician. However, It is not necessary to fill out the form to commence referrals- just fax us a prescription and we'll get working on your patient STAT. There's always time to fill out the Physician Enrollment Form later. Your patient's diagnostic study is of the utmost importance to us.
Once the prescription has been submitted, we will immediately complete all paperwork and initiate the insurance process. Our goal is to schedule the patient within one day of receipt of the order, as well as getting the results to you in a timely manner.
